The tranquil environment with beautiful sunsets caught our attention and captured our hearts. We loved the tranquility, peace and nature and moved to Sodwana in 2005. In great faith we opened Nhlambanyathi Lodge in 2008. It has always been our dream. It is for us here at Nhlambanyathi Lodge important that our clients can experience the tranquility and peace of Sodwana the way we experience it. It feels like you are in the bush but still close enough to the sea.

Lake Sibaya
Lake Sibaya is the largest freshwater lake in South Africa. There is 18 species of fish that have been recorded in the lake and 5 of those have marine origins. There is also a large number of crocodiles and hippos.

Thembe Elephant Park
With more than 200 species indigenous elephants, is the park also the most unspoiled Big 5-reserve in the world. They provide day and night game drives as well as guide walks.
